Małgorzata Karp-Soja

She was born in Kraków in 1967. In 1992 she graduated from the Faculty of Art Conservation of the Kraków Academy of Fine Arts. She studied painting under Professor Stanisław Wiśniewski and drawing under Professor Allan Rzepka.

 

She was awarded three fellowships in Italy (1991-1993). The artist chiefly practices oil painting and pastel painting. Her works can be found in private collections in Poland, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Spain, Sweden and the US. She is a member of the Association of Polish Artists and Designers (ZPAP).

 

She has displayed her works at more than 70 group exhibitions and over 40 solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her recent accomplishments include the President’s Award at the 7th International Biennial of Modern Art in Florence (2009), the medal of the Friends of Fine Arts Society in Kraków on the 100th anniversary of ZPAP (2011), and prestigious awards at the Future and Reality International Art Biennial in Beijing (2012).
